LAHORE: Punjab Energy Department Secretary Amir Jan has announced deploying spies in all divisions to check electric inspectors’ corruption and warned immediate action would be taken.

He asserted that the department would observe zero tolerance on corruption.

Chairing a meeting of electric inspectors serving across the province on Wednesday, Mr Jan said he was receiving a number of corruption complaints and that would not be tolerated.

He also asked the electric inspectors whether any department official was asking them for some monthlies.

“It is our duty to serve the masses than making money,” he said.
