ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday set up a separate centre for vaccination of its 18,000 employees and their families.

“In Islamabad we have controlled Covid-19 cases by implementing the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and inoculating citizens. The purpose of this centre is to facilitate the employees in getting vaccinated,” said CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed while visiting the centre established in the fire brigade building.

The CDA chief, however, did not set any condition for the employees to get vaccinated.

Speaking to Dawn, he said through a motivational campaign people can be asked for vaccination.

“The purpose of visiting the centre was to motivate the employees and their response was very encouraging.”

He said the CDA Hospital had become a major healthcare centre in the city and two new blocks were also near completion there.

Recently, the CDA board also decided to set up a Cochlear Implant Centre at the CDA Hospital.

APP adds: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) in collaboration with the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) and Shifa International Hospital opened a vaccination centre on its premises to cater to the business community, their families and employees.

Members of the chamber will be administered first dose of the vaccine on Monday and Tuesday from 10am to 5pm, according to a press release.

Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat inaugurated the vaccination centre at the ICCI.
