Polio eradication campaign launched in Balochistan's Chagai

CHAGAI: Deputy Commissioner Agha Sher Zaman has urged the masses to get their children vaccinated against the paralysing disease of polio.

He was talking to the participants of inauguration of anti-polio vaccination campaign at Prince Fahad Hospital in Dalbandin.

Dalbandin Assistant Commissio­ner Javed Domki, District Health Officer Dr Kahoor Khan Baloch and other officials were also present on the occasion. The deputy commissioner said the crippling disease could be eradicated from the country through proper vaccination.

The district health officer said the five-day campaign would begin on Monday. The campaign will cover 47,421 children and 273 teams and 57 area in-charges will take part in it at 15 transit points and 25 centers.
