Covid-19 fatalities have crossed the 21,000 mark in Pakistan after the country reported 92 deaths during the last 24 hours.

Punjab reported the highest number of deaths with 48 casualties, followed by 22 in Sindh. The death toll now stands at 21,022.

Meanwhile, 2,208 new Covid-19 cases have been detected in the country and the infection tally has risen to 926,695. The positivity rate is 3.9 per cent.

Breakdown of cases and deaths reported on June 3:

  • Sindh: 1,041 cases, 22 deaths
  • Punjab: 432 cases, 48 deaths
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 326 cases, 18 deaths
  • Islamabad: 89 cases
  • Balochistan: 75 cases, 3 deaths
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 57 cases, 1 death
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 8 cases
