TAXILA: A man involved in a robbery cum murder case was arrested on Thursday by New Airport police. A stolen motorcycle apart from a weapon used in the crime was also recovered from his possession.

According to a police spokesman, Malik Muneer was shot dead during a robbery on Mangial road on March 26. The victim’s mobile phone, cash and a motorcycle were also stolen.

Police picked up one of the suspects, who during preliminary interrogation confessed that he along with his companion shot the victim dead when he resisted. The spokesman said that the snatched motorcycle and weapons utilised in the robbery were also recovered and a hunt has been launched to arrest the other accused suspect.
