DADU, Oct 23: Activists of the Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party held a demonstration outside the press club on Saturday in protest against the closure of primary schools in Johi taluka.

District president of the STPP, Ghulam Qadir Leghari, led the protesters.

The leaders said that over 250 primary girls and boys schools remained closed in remote areas of the taluka since last three years.

They said that teachers were posted at these schools on the political basis hence they were receiving their salary without attending the school.

Owing to closure of schools, education was affected in the taluka.

EXPLOSIONS: Two explosions occurred at the Radhan grid station due to some technical fault in 66KV circuit breaker on Saturday night.

As a result, electricity remained suspended in 500 villages in four feeders of the Mehar taluka.
