Pakistan's coronavirus cases have once again risen above 4,000 after a gap of 11 days. During the last 24 hours, the country reported 4,207 infections and 131 deaths.

The last time the country reported more than 4,000 cases was on May 7, when 4,110 infections were recorded.

During the last 24 hours, 51,130 tests were conducted. The total number of cases has risen to 890,391 and the death toll is 19,987, while the positivity rate is 8.22 per cent.

Breakdown of deaths and cases reported:

  • Sindh: 2,076 cases, 19 deaths
  • Punjab: 1,189 cases, 77 deaths
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 424 cases, 28 deaths
  • Islamabad: 237 cases, 5 deaths
  • Balochistan: 159 cases
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 109 cases, 2 deaths
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 13 cases
