THATTA, Oct 22: A man was killed and three others were injured over a petty issue in Jhampir town of the district on Saturday. The man, Ibrahim Machhi, had lodged a complaint with police against owners of a donkey which had eaten his stored flour and paddy from mud utensils.

The police as a result, had arrested owner of the donkey Hussain Machhi but later let him off allegedly after accepting Rs2000 as bribe.

After getting freed, Hussain Machhi with his three colleagues stormed the hut of Ibrahim and axed him to death. They also injured Bashir, Anwar and Ms Chattan, all relatives of Ibrahim, when they offered resistance. An FIR has been lodged at Jhampir police station against Hussain Machhi and three others.
