LAHORE: After the postponement of the Junior Asia Hockey Cup, the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup has also been put off by the Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) due to the Covid-19 virus, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced.

According to the PHF, the MHC executive board took the decision during its eighth meeting held on Wednesday, which expressed deep concern over the spread of Covid-19 and considering the life and health as most important, deferred the tournament tentatively for the month of December this year or April next year.

The Azlan Shah Cup was to be held from June 17 to 28. Though many sports activities across the world are in progress, with or without spectators, a number of international hockey events have been postponed one after other.
