KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Naved Ahmed Sheikh said on Wednesday that as soon as the coronavirus pandemic subsides, all the sports activities in the city will resume at full scale.

He said as per the vision and efforts of CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah and chief secretary Sindh, the promotion and uplift of all sports and playgrounds is a big priority for him and his team.

In a meeting with Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) president Ghulam Mohammad and advisor Ghulam Abbas Jamal Advocate in his office, Commissioner Karachi lauded the tremendous welfare work done by KBBA in collaboration with Firdaus Ittehad and other philanthropists including Wajid Durrani, Parveen Kiyani and Athar Khanzada for the needy players and sports organizers who were provided with ration bags, clothes besides financial help.
