SUKKUR: The CIA police of Jacobabad on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a notified terrorist, Bakht Ali Jakhrani, a few days after the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police of Naseerabad (Balochistan) claimed his arrest.

Jakhrani alias Jameel, son of Bangla alias Motio Jakhrani, carried head money of Rs1 million and was wanted by police in 15 cases of heinous crimes including murder of DIG Abdul Aziz Bullo in Balochistan.

On Tuesday, the Jacobabad CIA came up with the claim of having arrested Bakht Jakhrani in the Laro area along the Sindh-Balochistan border. A Kalashnikov rifle with 25 rounds were seized from him, the CIA statement said.

Kidnappers seek Rs5m for labourer’s release

The Ghotki police on Tuesday moved into action to recover a labourer, Mohan Lal, from the clutches of his kidnappers. He was believed to have been taken into the gangs-infested kutcha area.

Mohand Lal, a resident of Daharki, was kidnapped by dacoits a couple of days back. His family members were contacted by the kidnappers to demand Rs5m for his release.
