The Sindh health department has said that after May 16 Covid-19 vaccinations will be available to those under the age of 40.

Inaugurating the Expo Centre Karachi vaccination centre, the largest in the country, Sindh health minister Dr Azra Pechuho said that citizens should be responsible and follow SOPs as neglect has caused a spike in infections.

"We are ready to give money to the federal government so that they may procure vaccines through fixed prices and provide them to Sindh," she said.

Expo Centre Karachi can cater to 25,000-30,000 vaccinations per day and will be operational 24 hours, free of cost. Vaccination drives will be expanded and this will include an increase in vaccination centres and ease of accessibility for every community and demographic, the health department said.
