TAXILA: The Punjab Public Prosecution secretary Nadeem Sarwar on Saturday said the government was according priority to the health sector to ensure maximum health facilities to the people especially those living in far flung areas.
He expressed these views during his visit to tehsil headquarters hospital Pindigheb.
Deputy Commissioner Ali Annan Qammar, additional deputy commissioner general Asadullah Khan, assistant commissioner Haider Abbas were also present on this occasion.
He said improving people, particularly women and other vulnerable segments access to health facilities was an important priority of the government and in this connection special focus was given to remote and far flung areas.
He said that availability of medicines in all hospitals, health centers and dispensaries and presence of staff was also being ensured.
He said Attock district has been included in Universal Health Insurance programme which will benefit more than 2 million population of the district without any discrimination.
