ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Mohammad Sadiq Sanjrani on Saturday emphasised the need to raise public awareness about thalassaemia and help the global thalassaemia community to connect and call for changes towards the improvement of patients well-being.

In his message on the International Thalassaemia Day, he said the government had taken measures to overcome the challenge and various departments were working jointly to protect the future generations.

“We should stand together as a nation and play our part globally to fight this disease for a healthier and prosperous world.”

He called upon philanthropists to play their role in providing relief to the patients.
