PESHAWAR: Al-Quds Day was observed in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the last Friday of Ramazan to condemn the brutalities against innocent Palestinians and occupation of Al-Quds by the Israeli forces.

Processions were taken out under the aegis of different organisations, including Mutahidda Ulema-o-Mashaikh Council at Sher Shah Suri Road and Wahdatul Muslimeen at Qissa Khwani Bazaar, Peshawar.

The participants set Israeli flags on fire and shouted slogans against its oppression on Muslims in Palestine.

The procession was led by Allama Mohammad Shoaib and others who highlighted the plight of those being barred from even offering prayers at the Muslims’ holiest shrines in Israeli-controlled areas and urged the Muslim Ummah to take a unified stand for liberation Al-Quds from the Israeli occupation.

They were carrying placards and banners inscribed with various slogans against Israeli aggression on innocent Palestinians.

They regretted that the Israelis were resorting to barbarism against Palestinian Muslims, but the Islamic world as well as the United Nations had been playing the role of a silent spectator.
