Wow, KWSB!

THE Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) seems to be in a complete mess at least as far as water supply through tankers is concerned. On April 13, I placed my request for a water tanker (Ref. 1304210821). After waiting for it for three days, I lodged a complaint (CN: 042109462). I also tried to contact Sherpao Hydrant (Tel: 0213-2331104) for quite a few days, but there was no response. The notified telephone numbers of the Camp Office of the KWSB managing director (MD), according to the PTCL message, are not in use. Also, there is no response from the notified numbers of other officials at the KWSB head office!

On April 20, I wrote to the MD and sent the letter by a courier service (TCS CN: 306034715628). On the same night, I received a message that the tanker had been dispatched. The message also had the number of the tanker driver. When the tanker did not arrive, I tried to contact the driver, but the number given was incorrect!

The next day, after several attempts, I was able to get through on the KWSB website’s ‘Contact Us’ number (03111666687), and was advised to contact Director Mr. Pervaiz on his telephone number (99245020). He turned out to be a thorough gentleman and was kind enough to promise to investigate the entire matter. Since then, his number is not reachable. He was not quite the thorough gentleman I had thought he was!

The tanker is still not here, and no further complaint can be lodged as, according to the KWSB website, my original complaint is still ‘OPEN’!!
