NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Another tribal elder was gunned down and his associate suffered injuries here late on Saturday night as the spate of targeted killings continued in the tribal district.

According to police, tribal Malik Fazale Rehman and Mohammad Ibrahim were sitting at the hujra (guest house) of Malik Golap Khan on Saturday midnight when unknown assailants opened fire on them.

As a result, Malik Fazale Rehman was killed while Ibrahim suffered critical wounds.

The injured was taken to the DHQ hospital, Miramshah. The attackers escaped while taking advantage of the darkness.

The police reached the spot and have started investigation.
