Hundreds of inhabitants of Makeen organised a sit-in protest near Tehsil Building against the killing of two youths, allegedly by paramilitary personnel three days ago. The residents had also laid bodies of the slain boys named Kalam Din and Inam Ullah in front of the Tehsil Building.

Officials said that elders of Mehsud tribe held talks with Maj-Gen Bashir at the official compound in Tank. After talks, the elders met protesters in Makeen following which the protest was called off and bodies of the slain boys were buried.
