Two government supporters gunned down in Turbat

GWADAR: Unidentified attackers gunned down two supporters of the government in the Aabsar area of Turbat town in Kech district on Sunday.

Police said the incident took place in Aabsar Korowai where the assailants opened fire on Syed Waris Zamrani and Dad Jan by automatic weapons.

As a result, one person died on the spot while the other was seriously injured.

Police rushed to the area after receiving information about the incident and shifted the injured and body to the district hospital in Turbat.

The injured man, who received multiple bullet injuries, died during treatment.

The motive behind the murder could not be known immediately.

It was the fourth attack on the people belonging to a government supporter group in Turbat area and the attacks have claimed five lives over the past two weeks.
