LAHORE: Former law minister Mian Umar Mahmood Kasuri was laid to rest at Bagh-e-Rehmat graveyard on Sunday.
Mr Kasuri breathed his last on Saturday after a protracted illness. A brother of former foreign minister Mian Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri, he took part in various movements for the restoration of democracy and had to go to prison during these movements.
Owing to the ongoing Covid-19 situation in the country, the family has decided to avoid condolence gatherings and has requested friends and well-wishers to offer Fateha and pray that his soul may rest in eternal peace.
