TV content

TELEVISION, as a medium of entertainment, has an important role in social perceptions and behaviours. Unfortunately, the content being produced these days is mostly absurd and revolves around a few basic and done-to-death themes. Script writers are writing without any research or background understanding, script editors seem to have no grip on language and its grammar, and directors are least bothered about irritating factors like mispronunciation.

The overall production and the final content are, therefore, shoddy.

Contrary to the saying ‘you are what you watch’, the fact is that what you watch sculptures you, shapes your ideology and then reflects in your behaviour and personality.

The content on our television screens, including the advertisements, is just not good enough to allow any hope for a better, more aware society in the years ahead. And that is a pity.
