KARACHI: Police’s Bomb Disposal Squad and ambulances rushed to the spot on main Tariq Road on Monday after receiving information of a bomb attached to a parked motorbike there, officials said.

The bomb was defused by the LEAs.

Ferozeabad SHO Aurangzeb Khattak said that they received information from an official of Counter-Terrorism Department that the bomb had been attached to the bike near Liberty Chowk on Tariq Road. The police cordoned off the locality from all sides and called in experts who defused it safely. It weighed around two kilogrammes and was a magnetic bomb, added Mr Khattak.
