THE huge ‘pandal’ in the Anglo-Arabic College, Delhi, was packed with Legislators, Councillors and visitors on Tuesday morning [April 9] when Mr. H.S. Suhrawardy, Bengal, moved the Delhi resolution amidst tremendous ovations from the audience. Mr. M.A. Jinnah … was in the Chair… .
Mr. Suhrawardy said that there was no room for Muslims outside the League and for that Muslim who did not believe in Pakistan whether he was “a renegade from Sind or the Punjab”. Even the Congress Muslims from the N.-W.F.P. were not against Pakistan and probably they had already realised Pakistan there. “There is no room today,” Mr. Suhrawardy continued, “for anyone in this country who does not believe in Pakistan.” He said, “Does not Malik Khizr Hyat say that he believes in Pakistan? I will ask him to join League as a humble servant…”
Mr. Suhrawardy, referring to the future of Muslims, declared that nobody could stem the March of 100 million Muslims.” He said: “Britain wants to hand over Power to the Indians and the Cabinet Mission is here to find out suitable machinery for the transfer of Power… .
