KARACHI: Pakistan’s oil production in the week ended March 30 fell by one per cent to 75,551 barrels per day while gas production declined by 2pc for the third consecutive week to an average production of 3,278mmcfd.

Shankar Talreja, analyst at Topline Securities, said oil and gas production also plunged by 2pc and 1pc to 76,588 barrels per day and 3,352 mmcfd in the week ending March 23 as compared to March 16.

Oil and gas production witnessed two per cent and five per cent drop to 74,799 barrel per day and 3,381mmcfd during the week ending March 16.

He attributed weekly decline in gas production to 11 per cent fall in Mari and Uch fields each to 612mmcfd and 246mmcfd during the week ending March 30 versus 686mmcfd and 276mmcfd during March 23.
