CHITRAL: The special assistant to chief minister on minorities’ affairs on Sunday inaugurated work on projects worth Rs45 million in different sectors in Bumburate valley here.

Speaking at a gathering on the occasion, Mr Wazirzada said despite great tourism potential in the valleys no roads were planned there.

He said the last PML-N government had hoodwinked the people of the valleys by announcing a road project costing Rs4 billion, but allocated only Rs20 million for it. He said the road would be completed by the PTI government.

He said the PTI government had allocated huge funds for speedy development of the Kalash valleys.

Mr Wazirzada said Prime Minister Imran Khan would open work on Chitral-Shandur Road shortly.

The chief minister’s aide inaugurated work on Dubaz-Rumbur Road costing Rs12.6 million, and Kandisar road costing Rs10.8 million. He also opened work on construction of a number of protection walls to save the Bumburate valley from devastation caused by flash floods.
