SWABI, Oct 15: One person was killed and 13 suffered injuries when a vehicle hit a roadside tree on Saturday. Police said that the victims, after attending court proceedings in Chota Lahore tehsil, were returning to their homes in Jalbai. When they reached near the canal the diver lost control of the pickup and hit a tree.

Asghar, resident of Tordher, died on the spot. The injured were taken to the DHQ hospital and Khunda rural health centre. Three of them were stated to be in serious condition and were shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar.

The injured were identified as Faqir Taj, Ihsanullah, Ranezai, Lal Khan, Umer Ali, Saeedullah, Fazal Qamar, Mohammad Ali, Saib Gul, while the names of four wounded people could not be confirmed.—Correspondent
