GUJRAT: A 17-year-old student of a seminary who went missing a few days ago, has been found murdered as his own teacher turned out to be the assassin who killed the student over honour at Shafqatabad locality of Mandi Bahauddin on Sunday.

DSP Shabeer Awan of Saddar Mandi Bahauddin circle told reporters that Haneef of Sahna village had lodged a complaint with Mandi Bahauddin city police on Saturday that his son Hafeez Hassan who was a student at Faizan-i-Madina seminary in the city and he had gone missing for the last couple of days and he could not find his whereabouts despite hectic search.

Upon which he said police had registered a kidnapping case against unidentified suspects and investigation was initiated in the case during the course of which police had detained a teacher of seminary who later confessed to have killed the boy and thrown the dead body into a deserted place in city outskirts.

DSP said that the suspect told the police that he had killed the boy with a knife for honour.
