GUJRANWALA: The Civil Lines police registered a case against unidentified person/s on writing a threat letter to a woman civil judge.

Civil Judge Sajida Samreen, who was appointed recently in Gujranwala, received a letter from the unidentified person/s, asking her to get transferred; otherwise, they would kill her family because she was not making the right decisions.

Police registered a case against unidentified persons.

PROTEST: A number of shroud-wearing people held a demonstration near the railway tack at Shehranwala Bagh crossing on GT Road.

Shahbaz Malik, one of the protesters, said the railways had closed the Sheranwala crossing for more than 100 days while the Pasroor Road was blocked, causing inconvenience for the locals.

According to reports the Sheranwala Bagh railway crossing had been closed by the railways employees on the salaries issue.

The Gujranwala-Pasroor road connects with GT Road at this place.

The protesters said the railway employees should block the tracks to press for their demands and they should not cause inconvenience to the locals.

The protesters dispersed after getting assurance from the railways officials.
