Woman killed over land dispute

SHIKARPUR, Oct 13: A woman was killed and two other people were injured in a clash between two groups of the Jafri tribe in the Ghulam Hussain Jafri village on Wednesday.

A group of 18 armed Jafri clansmen attacked the house of Mashkoor Jafri and opened fire on inmates.

The inmates also retaliated and as a result Mashkoor’s daughter Sadori, 30, died on the spot while his son Mohammad Hashim Jafri sustained bullet injuries.

A woman Shahnaz, wife of Hote Khan Jafri, also suffered bullet injuries.

The injured were shifted to the Larkana civil hospital.

The motive behind the attack was said to be an old dispute on a peace of agriculture land.

The Golodaro police have registered an FIR on the complaint of Seengar, the wife of Mashkoor Jafri, against 18 persons including Allah Rakhiyo, Qazi, Mohammad Ismail, Paryal, Abdullah and Noorullah.
