KASUR: Two labourers were buried alive under the debris when a wall of an under-construction petrol pump collapsed on themon Sunday on Multan Road, in the limits of Pattoki police station.

According to the police, labourers Mubashar and Ameen, both residents of Gulshan Subhan Colony, Pattoki, were working at

an under-construction petrol pump, near the Judicial Complex, when a wall collapsed on them.

The other labourers, with the help of some locals, pulled them out of the debris, and shifted them to hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Pattoki police shifted the bodies to the tehsil headquarters hospital and started investigations.

SUICIDE BID: A man and his wife allegedly attempted suicide by consuming poison on Sunday after a clash over some domestic issue here at Ali Park locality.

According to Sadar police, Yasin and his wife Razia Bibi had a clash over some domestic issue.

Later, Yasin, in a fit of dejection, took poison to end his own life. As Razia saw her husband in a critical condition, she also took the same poison.

The couple was rushed to the district headquarters hospital by neighbours, where they were stated to be in critical condition. Police are looking into the matter.
