PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman has summoned the provincial assembly session from March 1 (Monday) at 2pm.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz MPA-elect from Nowshera Ikhtiar Wali is likely to take oath on the first day of the session, according to a notification issued from the assembly secretariat.

Usually, the governor summons the assembly session a few days before the Senate elections. The assembly passes a resolution for allowing the election commission to conduct the Senate election in the assembly building. The Senate elections are scheduled to be held on March 3.

Also, the assembly secretary has issued the production orders of independent MPA Faisal Zaman who is charged with a murder case.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has said the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf will win all its seats in the upcoming Senate election.

He was speaking at a reception hosted for the party lawmakers in connection with the Senate polls. The chief minister insisted that the party had given election tickets on merit.

Beside others, KP Assembly Speaker Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani also attended the reception.
