KARACHI, Oct 12: An All Pakistan Newspapers Society petition against alleged bias of Justice Javed Nawaz Gandapur (retired), former chairman of the Implementation Tribunal for Newspaper Employees, was disposed of as withdrawn by the Sindh High Court on Tuesday.

Deputy Attorney-General Nadeem Azhar Siddiqui informed a division bench, comprising Justices Ghulam Rabbani and Azizullah M. Memon, that Mr Gandapur had ceased to be ITNE chairman on expiry of his tenure.

Representing the petitioner, Advocates Munir A. Malik, Muhammad Ali Azhar and Rana Ikramullah sought to withdraw the petition with the right to move a fresh one should Mr Gandapur be reappointed as chairman. The bench allowed the request.—Staff Reporter
