‘Cruel’ humans

Published February 16, 2021

ACCORDING to the recent World Economic Forum (WEF) report, humans have caused loss of 83 per cent of wild mammals, cut down half the planet’s trees, threatened one million species with extinction, severely altered 75pc of ice-free land, fully exploited, overexploited, and depleted 90pc of the fish stocks.

Experts attribute the rising number of emerging viruses to the ecological destruction and wildlife trade. We must act responsibly if we are to make this world a better place for our future generations.

Earth is no different than a human body. If you risk damaging your body by using harmful products, chances are you will most likely end up becoming very sick, or, in the worst case scenario, possibly die.

We have been destroying our planet since the cognitive revolution. We must indulge in a little retrospection in order to bring forth changes that might make this world a better place to live.
