Mr Idrees told the meeting that there was an immediate need to have a system in place where an authorised employee could locate the required documents in the shortest possible time.

The function and mechanism of e-office application developed by the National IT Board was demonstrated in the meeting.

CEO National IT Board Shabahat Ali Shah is extending cooperation in establishing the system in the UoP.

Registrar Dr Ahsan Zia said physical movement of official files and documents consumed a lot of time and required continuous monitoring from desk-to-desk before the final decision was made by senior officials.
