MULTAN, Jan 21: Two proclaimed offenders were killed in an encounter with police here on Sunday night.

In a press release issued here on Monday, the police said unidentified motorcyclists accelerated the speed when the police signalled them to stop on the Duniapur Road.

The police went after the motorcycle with having no number plate. Near Dera Mashine Link Road, they opened fire on the police. The police also returned the fire, killing one of the outlaws instantly and injuring the other seriously.

The injured also died while being shifted to the Nishtar Hospital.

The dead outlaws were later identified as POs Muhammad Aslam and Muhammad Farman involved in 40 dacoities in the Multan district, the release added.—Nouman
