SWABI: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl leaders said here on Saturday that the recent video concerning the 2018 Senate elections had proved that the heavyweights of the ruling party were involved in corrupt practices and now they were looking for a face-saving while misleading the masses.

JUI-F provincial general secretary Maulana Attaul Haq Darvaish told mediapersons that now everyone knew the real face of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf and how they bribed and influenced the entire election process.

“Our predication about the ruling party’s intentions has proved right,” he remarked.

Another JUI-F leader Maulana Fazal Ali said that every institution in the country had been weakened by the PTI leadership. He said that wrong policies and wrong priorities of the ruling party had pushed the country into deep economic crisis.

Answering a question, he said that JUI-F was ready to participate in the upcoming local government elections and they had started a mass contact campaign in the district and other regions of the province.

Meanwhile, Awami National Party leaders said in a meeting here on Saturday that the PTI leadership had distributed a huge amount of money among the parliamentarians during the Senate elections and some of the members had already said that they got the money.

Party’s district president Amanulllah Khan said the ruling party leaders had now been trapped because of their wrongdoings.

ARRESTED: Police arrested four persons for their involvement in various robbery incidents, district police officer Imran Shahid said on Saturday.

SHO Akbar Ali said that all the arrested persons belonged to Shahmansoor village and the police had recovered four pistols from their possession.
