Teachers’ training

THE Sindh education and literacy department gives contract to testing services to conduct written tests for various positions at the level of primary, junior and high schools. Successful candidates are recruited against the posts in their respective union councils, talukas and districts before being fully trained.

This inept recruitment criterion is one of the many causes of poor literacy rate and dilapidated education system in Sindh. Effective training helps teachers develop new teaching strategies to encourage learning in classrooms. Highly qualified, trained, updated and capable teachers improve the standard of education and increase the literacy rate.

The government should bring reformation in recruitment policies in order to enhance the quality of education.
