THATTA, Oct 10: The Indian Naval forces are reported to have escorted two fishing vessels along with ten fishermen and fish and shrimp catch worth millions of rupees from the Pakistan territorial waters in the Arabian Sea in the wee hours of Monday.

The district president, Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum (PFF) Thatta, Syed Gulab Shah, told reporters that all the fishermen belonging to Athurki, were escorted when they were busy in fishing at Kajhar Creek in the Pakistani territorial waters at gunpoint.

Te fishermen, who boarded MV Al-Qadri and Al Salam, included Ahmed S/o Ali Mohammad Katyar, Abdul Rehman S/o Haji Siddique Katyar, Abdul Ghafoor S/o Haji Siddique, Younis S/o Tayyab, Ali Nawaz S/o Tayab, Ahmed S/o Tayyab, Habibullah S/o Mohammad Urs, Usman S/o Dilbar, Yaqoob S/o Ismail and Ali Nawabshah S/o Urs were overpowered and escorted from the Pakistan territorial waters along Shah Bundar at gun point by the Indian Navy.

Meanwhile, PFF chairman, Syed Mohammad Ali Shah and others have condemned the violation of oceanic territorial limits of Pakistan waters by the Indian Naval personnel and called upon the Pakistan authorities to help release the arrested fishermen.
