HAVING restroom facilities at public places is a common thing in most parts of the world. Pakistan, unfortunately, is not a part of that world. There are few public toilets in large cities, like Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, while the facility is almost non-existent in smaller towns and rural areas. There are still some villages where the concept of having a toilet in the house is considered ‘unclean’. To address these issues, those concerned should ensure the presence of public toilets in greater numbers at all public places.
