KARACHI: In a renewed campaign against the federal government, the opposition alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) on Wednesday announced a ‘power show’ in Hyderabad on Feb 9 where key leaders including Maryam Nawaz, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari and Maulana Fazlur Rahman would address the rally.

The decision came at the PDM-Sindh meeting, which was chaired by Pakistan Peoples Party-Sindh president Nisar Khuhro who claimed that the upcoming rally would brush aside all rumours regarding division in the PDM.

“All key leaders would be there [Feb 9 rally] including Bilawal Bhutto, Maryam Nawaz and Maulana Fazlur Rahman,” he said in a statement issued after the meeting. “The PDM is intact and it is the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government which is facing challenges within the party and spreading rumours only for face-saving.”
