PESHAWAR: Noted radio, TV, and stage actor Musahib Ali alias Ali Nasir Afridi died of multiple health complications on Thursday night at 80. He was laid to rest in Jamrud New Township on Friday, family sources confirmed.

He left behind a widow and three sons to mourn his death.

Ali Nasir had been suffering from multiple health issues for the last two years and breathed his last at his residence in Hayatabad.

His body was later shifted to Jamrud subdivision of Khyber for burial in his ancestral graveyard, where local residents, elders and fans attended his funeral prayers.

He had served Pashto entrainment industry for over 20 years and had devoted rest of his life to preaching. His ‘Qul’ is being commiserated today (Saturday) in Jamrud Braj Kali.

Musahib Afridi had shifted his family to Peshawar in his late teens and launched his acting career from Radio Pakistan, Peshawar, and then quality voice and facial expressions landed him in PTV, Peshawar, and on stage where he performed in around 250 Pashto and Urdu plays.

His famous Pashto plays included Jwandi Aksoona, Khapoona, Salgai and Maidan. He had appeared in numerous roles but tragedy role stayed with him.
