Vote recount for Gojra tehsil nazim

TOBA TEK SINGH, Oct 8: Asad Zaman Cheema was declared Gojra tehsil nazim on Saturday after a vote recount held on the order of the chief election commissioner. District Returning Officer Shabbir Hussain Chatha had issued notices to the both candidates for the slot, Asad Zaman Cheema and ruling party supported Khalid Warraich, who was defeated according to the previous vote count.

In the presence of the representatives of the both candidates, the DRO Mr Chatha and RO Saeed Rafiq got the votes recounted and found that Mr Cheema had won the slot by getting 155 votes against Khalid Warraich who secured 148 votes. Seven votes were found rejected.
