PESHAWAR, Oct 8: The 9th convocation of the NWFP University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar, will be held on November 16 at 10am at the convocation hall of the university.

A press release issued here on Saturday said that attendance on the day of rehearsal (Nov 15) was compulsory and the absent students would not be allowed to admit the hall to receive degrees at the convocation.

Letters were being issued at the permanent addresses to all graduate engineers of the annual and supplementary examination 2003 held in July- August, 2004 and December, 2004 -February 2005 and postgraduate engineers of calendar year respectively, the press release added.

All the above students were requested to confirm their participation in the rehearsal on Nov 31.

It was stated that the graduates of the above mentioned session who had already received their degrees, could participate in the convocation by retuning their original degrees up to 31st of Oct to the controller of examinations.

It was stated that these students were required to deposit convocation fee of Rs300.

The press release said that Prof Dr. Jahangir of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department had received the Salam Teachers’ Award for the year 2005.
