HYDERABAD: Zynab Khan, Rushna Mehboob, Komal Khan and Noorul Husa entered the semi-finals as the Pakistan Women Squash Championship kicked off at Hyderabad Gymkhana on Sunday.

Sindh sports minister Imtiaz Ali Shah was the chief guest during a colourful ceremony in which players, officials and organising committee members were given appreciation shields, mementoes and certificates.

Quarter-finals: Zynab Khan (Army) bt Amna Fayaz (Army) 7-11, 11-13, 11-3, 11-6, 6-1 — Amna retired; Rushna Mehboob (ZTBL) bt Noorul Ain Ejaz (Punjab) 11-8, 11-5, 8-11, 11-7; Komal Khan (Wapda) bt Anum Mustafa Aziz (Sindh) 7-11, 11-8, 12-10, 8-11, 11-6; Noorul Husa (SNGPL) bt Elsa Imran (Sindh) 9-11, 6-11, 13-11, 11-8, 11-1.
