KARACHI: The Central Depository Company (CDC) has successfully processed the cash dividend of ‘Pak Datacom Ltd’ through the State Bank of Pakistan’s (SBP) Raast payment gateway.

Raast, a fast payment gateway was inaugurated by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Jan 11. The CDC said that it was now connected with all major banks on Raast and would process all dividend payments more efficiently.

The CDC was also processing thousands of transactions related to Roshan Digital Accounts in PSX where it acts as the bridge between banks and capital market entities to become the gateway for non-resident Pakistanis to invest in PSX.

“Around 2,000 Roshan Digital Account holders are investing in stock market with estimated worth of Rs375 million or $2.5m through this arrangement”.
