LONDON, Oct 7: Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s founder Altaf Hussain has strongly condemned Friday’s attack on Ahmadi worshippers who were offering prayers at “Rahmania” in Mandi Bahauddin.

He described the attack in which eight people were killed as an act of terrorism and barbarism.

He said that killing innocent people was not only unlawful but un-Islamic and also negated the teachings of Islam and preachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

The MQM leader appealed to President General Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Ilahi to take immediate steps to arrest the culprits and give them exemplary punishment.

He also called for measures to protect the lives and property of all Pakistanis irrespective of their religion and belief.
