ISLAMABAD: Residents of Islamabad will now be able to deposit water charges, property taxes along with other charges to Capital Development Authority (CDA) through mobile and internet banking.

“In light of government and CDA chairman’s ease of doing business initiatives, CDA is now available at 1BILL powered by 1Link,” said a press release issued by the authority on Tuesday.

Customers can pay these charges from the convenience of their home through mobile applications or websites of one link banks, it said.

For property tax deposit, citizens can use the prefix 122001 followed by CDA property tax consumer number while for water and allied charges they can use 122002 before CDA consumer number after selecting the 1BILL voucher/invoice payment option.

CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed told Dawn that through this initiative, the civic agency wants to reduce human interaction and help citizens.

“This initiative is part of large scale automation plan of CDA. It will also help bring transparency,” he said, adding CDA along with citizens will have a complete record of deposited fee ensuring transparency on both ends.
