Woman found hanging

RAWALPINDI: A woman was found hanging in the bathroom of her in-laws’ house in Sadiqabad on Monday.

Her father alleged that she had been murdered, police said.

He said his daughter had come to her parents’ house, but her husband and his father came to his house on Sunday for a patch up and after tendering their apology they asked him to send his daughter back to her husband’s house.

He further said in the FIR that his daughter had refused to go with them expressing her fear that she would be tortured again.

Mr Sharif further said the very next day when he was not at home, his wife sent his daughter with her husband.

He said but soon he received a text message from her husband’s father asking him to take her daughter back, otherwise she would not be alive till morning.

He said on receiving the text message, he went to her daughter’s in-laws house where he found his daughter’s body hanging with her dupatta tied to the shower of her bathroom.
