RAWALPINDI, Oct 6: Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) president Jaleel Ahmad Malik said on Thursday there were vast opportunities of trade between Pakistan and Romania.

In a meeting with Romanian delegation headed by Mr Oloz Gergely, Mr Jaleel said there was room for investment in mineral sector and added that both countries could embark upon joint ventures in energy, oil refineries, cement production and transfer of technology.

Mr Jaleel Malik also invited Romanian traders to invest in Rawat Industrial Estate.

Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry wants to increase the number of exporters connected with the chamber to increase the exports of the county, Mr Jaleel said.

He said Pakistan was fast growing economy and expressed the hope it would attract foreign direct investment.

Romanian delegation head Mr Oloz Gregely said that he was pleased to know about the opportunities for investment here. He also offered to exchange the trade delegations between the two countries.
