Nazim shot dead in bad blood

OKARA, Oct 5: A newly-elected nazim of union council 70 was shot dead by his rivals at Basirpur town on Wednesday. Police sources said that accused Raza Ali Shah and his three accomplices opened fire on Syed Ejaz Ali Zaidi when he was standing in the main bazaar along with his friends. Consequently, he died on the spot. The body has been sent to hospital for post-mortem. Police are conducting raids to arrest the accused.—APP
